What's inside the work

Six things every engagement gets.

There's no 'content lite' tier where we skip the SERP read or fire the editor. Either we do all of it or we don't take the work.

SERP-led brief

Every brief starts with a manual SERP read — what's ranking, what AI Overviews are pulling, what intent the top three actually satisfy. No template-generated briefs, no AI-only research.

On-page checklist

33-point checklist applied to every piece pre-publish: title, schema, internal linking, image alt, semantic HTML, AI Overview readiness. We share the checklist with you; you keep it.

Editor-named pieces

Each engagement has a named editor on our side and a named PoC on yours. No mystery 'content team'. Every piece is rewritten by the editor, not just reviewed.

AI Overview optimisation

Citation-shaped paragraphs, schema-aligned answers, claim density tuned for generative pull. We also tell you where AI Overviews are eating your traffic and what to do about it.

Refresh programme

Existing content is usually the highest-leverage place to spend. Quarterly refresh queue prioritised by ranking decay + revenue at risk. Not just rewrites — restructures.

Performance retro

Monthly: which pieces ranked, which didn't, why. No participation trophies. The retro is what makes the next month's briefs better — and we share it with you.
Packages

Three retainer sizes.

Volume isn't the variable that matters — the briefs, editors, and process don't change between tiers. You're paying for output count, not for a different team.

FAQ

The questions everyone asks about content + AI.

Do you use AI to write the content?
We use Claude for research, SERP analysis, and first-draft outlining. The body copy is written by a human writer and rewritten by a named editor. Anything we publish on a client site has had at least two human passes; on most engagements, three. The result isn't 'AI content with human polish' — it's editor-led content that uses AI where AI is honestly useful.
What about AI Overviews stealing our traffic?
Two-part answer. First: not all AI Overview traffic is gone — citation traffic from Perplexity and ChatGPT is measurable if you set it up, and we set it up on every engagement. Second: AI Overviews favour content that's citation-shaped — short claim density, schema-aligned answers, source-worthy paragraphs. We write for both ranking and citation. You'll see both metrics in the monthly retro.
Can you write for our brand voice?
Yes — and we'd rather invest two hours up front getting it right than 'tone-checking' every piece. Engagements start with a voice doc we build together: 5–10 sample pieces of writing you love, 3–5 you don't, and a one-page brand-voice memo we draft. After kickoff, the editor enforces it.
What's out of scope?
Ghost-writing for executives, podcast scripts, ebook ghost-projects, social-media calendars, video scripts. We do SEO content — articles, comparisons, glossary pages, programmatic pages, landing copy. If you need a content agency rather than an SEO content team, we'll happily refer you to a few we trust.

Brief us on one piece. We'll come back with a SERP read and a sample brief — yours to keep either way.
